Flowers, Still
A wood engraving series of local flora
Year:
2025
Sometimes I think nature does not know sadness, and so flowers continue to grow in their delicate softness, even in difficult times.
In this series, I tried to dwell in that feeling — between tenderness and roughness, the organic and the structured, violence and fragility.
I worked with wood engraving — a natural material, yet one that is far from flexible.
Within it, I carved delicate imagשes of local wildflowers, those that continue to grow even when there is sorrow and pain.
