Most of the time I feel like a strange creature, misplaced in a culture that celebrates war, death, and pain. I don’t really know how I fit in. Art helps.

Over two years, during the last war, I found relief in intuitive text-based works and collage. I worked fast, without planning or overthinking. It was a way to let some of the pain and frustration out — something I did mostly for myself, almost like self-therapy.

I published some of the works on social media and discovered many voices, from both men and women, who felt the same. In this painful state, I found connection through art and creation.
